Allison's Canada Day Playlist

I. LOVE. CANADA.

My love affair with Canada began last summer when I rode a train from Vancouver to Montreal. Along the way I stopped in Edmonton, Winnipeg (does a 20-minute stopover count?), Toronto, and Ottawa. Then, this past February, one of my best friends from college and I decided a road trip through Halifax, Saint John, and Charlottetown was logical. All in all, I've been to 9/10 Canadian provinces. Over MLK weekend in 2010, we're planning to hit up Newfoundland/Labrador, which is the only one I'm missing!

Things I love about Canada:
- The awesome, insane, most friendly people on the planet
- Beavertail is a delicious treat that will rot your teeth
- The parliament house has a CAT SANCTUARY on the grounds
- How fun it is to say "Vancoooooooouver" and "Quuuuuuuubec"
- They are a strong people who don't believe in plowing their roads.
- The $5 bill (I love this so much that I carry one around in my wallet all the time.)
- There is a place called Mount Allison University (he he he)

I could go on and on, but this is about music and not my retarded ideas of what's fun to do on vacation (look - they also have the world's largest lobster statue!), so here's what I think is a great Canada Day playlist. A proud playlist for a proud people.

  2. Can I tell you how disappointed we were to never have encountered a moose that big?! Maybe next year in Newfoundland.
